Experience the Magic of the CoralWalk at Keppel Bay
In the fast moving world we live in today, the urban jungle is without a doubt the most domineering aspect of city life. Most of the time, you will find yourself surrounded by towering infrastructure and the touch of modern innovations. For those of us who have a love for all things natural, this can be a challenging environment to get in touch with nature.
However, there is still one last place that progress has not managed to touch just yet. Surrounding us are the welcoming sights of the sea and the many waterways that are home to plenty of wildlife and nature.
Here at Marina at Keppel Bay, we play host to a staggering variety of coral reef life, and we wholeheartedly respect the flora and fauna that existed before us. The marina has been designed to accommodate the natural flow of water in the area, allowing for both marine and coral life to flourish.
Up Close and Personal
It does not just stop there. Giving these creatures the space they need and the natural conditions for them to live their lives means that they are occasional stars that make an appearance as visitors enjoy the facilities around Marina at Keppel Bay.
But what if you are looking for something more educational and immersive? Look no further than the Guided Nature Tours: CoralWalk at Keppel Bay, a series of special tours brought to you by Marina at Keppel Bay and Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum!
With the help of the experts from the Outreach and Education Unit, learn more about the environmental conservation efforts that Marina at Keppel Bay have been carrying out, and get a little bit closer to the marine biodiversity that calls this eco-sanctuary home.
The City Reef Initiative
If it is not clear yet, everyone here at Marina at Keppel Bay are firm believers in keeping the balance between man and nature. We have made concerted efforts through our design and infrastructure, and our efforts have certainly paid off.
Beneath the many floating pontoons, seawalls, and the many vessels that come and go, there lies a kaleidoscope of vibrant life like corals, sponges, sea fans, sea anemones, cardinal fish, and more!
To keep the precious marine life thriving alongside us, Marina at Keppel Bay actively takes part in minimising environmental hazards and impacts with our policies and facilities. Boat owners are encouraged to use biodegradable cleaning agents, fishing is prohibited, and our pump-out facilities will prevent vessels from discharging sewage irresponsibly into the waters.
